Launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Poshan Bhi, Padhai Bhi is transforming Anganwadis across India into vibrant centres of early learning and nutrition. We supported MWCD during the launch of this flagship initiative and have been closely working with the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD)—the nodal agency overseeing its implementation—to enable impactful and scalable nationwide rollout.
At the heart of the initiative are two national curricula:
- Navchetana (0–3 yrs): Early stimulation and responsive caregiving.
- Aadharshila (3–6 yrs): Structured, play-based learning aligned with the National Curriculum Framework; also available on Poshan Tracker.
Through this initiative, over 34,000 State-Level Master Trainers and 4.7 lakh Anganwadi Workers across India have been equipped with the skills to create nurturing learning environments for young children.
This transformative agenda was powerfully endorsed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address on Mann Ki Baat, where he highlighted the importance of early childhood development in nation-building.
